Rental Agreement

Plain English, because you shouldn't need a lawyer to rent a trailer. By booking with us you're agreeing to what's below.

Last updated 30 August 2026

1Who This Is Between

This agreement is between Dump Daddy Trailers LLC ("we", "us") and the person renting the trailer ("you"). Renting for business or construction work? Our commercial agreement applies instead. It covers the trailer, its delivery, your use of it, and our hauling and disposal of what you load into it.

You confirm you are at least 18 and that you either own the property where the trailer will sit or have permission from the owner to place it there.

2Rental Period & Rates

Rentals come in three lengths — 1 day, 3 days or 7 days. The price covers delivery, pickup and the included disposal weight.

All prices below are shown before sales tax. Idaho sales tax is added at checkout and applies to the rental and to the fees in this agreement. The mid-rental dump is not taxable — you pay the $150 with no tax on top.

Trailer1 day3 days7 days
The Weekender — 10 yd$249$329$489
The Big Daddy — 15 yd$299$379$539

Mid-rental dump. On 3-day and 7-day rentals you can add one extra dump for $150. We collect the trailer partway through your rental, empty it, and return it so you can keep loading. Add it when you book. If you don't use it, we refund the $150 in full after your rental ends. It also raises your included disposal from two tons to four tons total for the rental. No sales tax applies to this add-on.

Rental lengths are counted in full 24-hour days from the time we deliver. A 1 day rental runs to the following day’s pickup window, a 3 day to the third day after delivery, and a 7 day to the seventh — so you always get at least the hours you paid for. If you need more time, tell us before your end date and we'll move you up to the next rental length and charge the difference. Keeping the trailer past your agreed end date without telling us is charged the same way.

3What's Included

Anything beyond that — a longer rental, extra weight, special-handling items — is charged as set out below.

4Payment & Card On File

The rental is charged when you book. You give us a payment card, we charge the rental up front, and your booking is confirmed. Nothing to sort out on delivery day and nothing to chase afterwards.

We keep that card on file for the rest of the rental, and by booking you authorise us to charge it for:

We'll always tell you about a charge beyond the booked rental before we run it. Extra days, overweight and surcharges are settled after pickup, once we have the scale ticket.

If the card fails at booking, the booking isn't confirmed and the trailer isn't reserved. If a later charge fails, the trailer stays where it is until payment clears and daily charges keep accruing.

5Delivery & Placement

You don't need to be home. You do need the spot ready.

6What You Can Load

Included at no extra charge: household junk, furniture, mattresses, carpet, yard waste and brush, and light construction or remodelling debris.

Accepted with a surcharge, because the landfill charges us for them:

ItemSurcharge
Appliances (fridges, freezers, AC units, washers, dryers, stoves)$50 each
Tires$10 each

By quote only: roofing shingles and other heavy material. These hit the trailer's weight limit long before they fill it, so tell us up front and we'll price the job properly and mark a fill line.

Tell us the count of appliances and tires when you book so we can quote it properly. Surprises at the landfill cost us money and cost you a surcharge you weren't expecting.

7What You Cannot Load

These are refused by the landfill, are hazardous, or both. Do not put them in the trailer:

If Prohibited Material Turns Up

We usually find it at the scale, not in your driveway. If prohibited material is in the load, you are responsible for the cost of separating, handling and lawfully disposing of it, plus any fine or penalty the landfill or an authority charges us because of it. We'll charge that to the card on file and show you what it was for.

8Weight & Fill Limits

Two tons are included, and that is the total for your whole rental. If you add the mid-rental dump, your allowance goes up to four tons total. Anything over your allowance is charged a flat $50 overweight fee to the card on file.

There is also a hard physical limit, and it isn't negotiable:

If we arrive and the trailer is overfilled or overloaded, we cannot legally tow it. You'll need to remove the excess before we can haul it, and the rental continues to accrue daily charges until we can. If you'd rather we handle it, we'll charge for the time and the return trip.

9Driveways & Property Damage

This is the part worth reading twice.

A loaded dump trailer is very heavy. Our trailers sit on rubber tires rather than being dropped from a roll-off truck, which is considerably gentler on concrete and asphalt — but no trailer of this weight is risk-free on a residential surface.

What You're Agreeing To

By asking us to place a trailer on your driveway, lawn, or any other surface, you accept the risk of damage to that surface — including cracking, depressions, tire marks, scuffing, staining, or damage to anything beneath it such as sprinklers, septic components, drains or utility lines.

We will take reasonable care with placement, and we'll use boards under the jack and tires if you ask. But we are not responsible for damage to driveways, walkways, lawns, landscaping, or underground utilities caused by the weight or placement of the trailer.

If you're worried about your surface — newer concrete, decorative work, pavers — tell us before delivery. We'll suggest an alternative spot or additional protection. If we're not confident a spot is safe, we'll say so.

You're responsible for telling us about anything under the placement area we couldn't reasonably know about, including septic tanks and lids, drain fields, irrigation lines, and buried utilities.

10Your Responsibility For The Trailer

From the moment we set the trailer down until the moment we hitch up to collect it, the trailer is in your care.

Repair costs for damage beyond normal wear will be charged to the card on file, and we'll show you the itemised cost.

11Pickup & Access

Text or call us when you're loaded and we'll schedule the pickup in the next available window. Our pickup windows are Monday to Friday between 5:15 and 6:30 PM, Saturday between 3:00 and 5:00 PM, and Sunday between 3:00 and 7:00 PM.

Make sure we can get to it. If we arrive and the trailer is blocked — by a vehicle, a gate, or anything else — we'll have to come back, and the rental keeps accruing daily charges until we can collect it.

12Changes & Cancellations

Cancel or reschedule at least 12 hours before your scheduled delivery and we refund the rental in full.

Less than 12 hours notice, no refund is given. By that point the run is scheduled, the trailer is committed to you, and we've turned away other bookings for that slot.

Worth knowing what 12 hours means in practice: our weekday deliveries go out between 6:00 and 7:00 AM, so the cutoff is around 6:00 PM the evening before. Weekend drops start at 6:00 AM, so the cutoff is about 6:00 PM the night before. If you're not sure the job will be ready, tell us early rather than late.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within a few business days.

Need the trailer longer? Tell us before your end date and we'll move you up to the next rental length — you pay the difference, not a new rental.

13When We Can Refuse

We may decline to deliver, decline to haul a load, or end a rental early if:

If we refuse for one of these reasons, you're still responsible for charges already incurred.

14Liability

We carry insurance and we take care with your property. That said, and to the fullest extent Idaho law allows:

Loading a trailer involves lifting heavy things. You and anyone helping you do so at your own risk.

15Idaho Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, and any dispute will be handled in the state courts of Ada County, Idaho.

If any part of this agreement turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of it still stands. This is the whole agreement between us for your rental, and any change to it needs to be in writing.
